My earliest influences were formed growing up on a small farm under the guidance of creative, hardworking European parents who instilled in me the wonder of nature, the rewards of gardening and the importance of incorporating these things into your daily life.
During my teenage years and throughout college, I continually worked in the horticulture industry. After receiving a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Georgia, I worked in zoological design, at two botanical gardens and in the private sector as an estate garden manager.
My life and my passion have always revolved around plants, flowers, art and design. I have naturally found myself drawn to design as a way to express what I see in the natural world. My garden and floral style tends to be free-form, often asymmetric, even wild; but not chaotic. Intimacy and detail characterize my approach, and my compositions often include combinations of farm or greenhouse raised florals, material foraged from woodlands, pastures and even dried elements.
I live in a wonderful menagerie of art, flowers, pets and family in Athens, Georgia.
